- You ship us your guitar with a provided label or one of your own.
- Once your guitar arrives, we document the condition of it upon arrival to ensure there was no shipping damage.
- We complete the modifications to your guitar, fully test it, and document the condition of it before shipping back out.
- We ship the guitar to you, and the order is complete.
We accept any standard guitar hero controller (e.g. any listed as a type on the GH/CH modded guitar page) that was produced by the company RedOctane. RedOctane was the OEM manufacturer for guitar hero controllers, and are compatible with our modding. The exception to this is the Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock guitar. Because of the extremely small body of this guitar, there is no place to fit our standard strum replacement board in the body. We are able to replace the FRETBOARD ONLY, which leaves stock strumbar and connectivity.
Other controllers, such as 3rd party reproductions, "knockoff" guitars, and generally anything not legitimate 3rd party is subject to our discretion. These guitars generally have similar internal designs to the stock controllers, but not always. If they are similar inside, there is a good chance that we are able to modify the guitar. If they differ from stock, that can make modding much harder if not impossible. Some special designs of guitars from 3rd party brands have different moldings, internals, and/or PCB designs, which renders our replacement boards incompatible either without significant changes or just entirely incompatible. If you have one of these, please be sure to let us know in the initial contact email so we can go from there. We may ask for extra pictures and/or some of the guitar partially disassembled if you are comfortable doing so for us to ensure compatibility.
Warranty and shipping disclaimer:
Please note that custom modded guitars have a different warranty than our standard guitars. We only cover our work done to the guitar, rather than guaranteeing the guitar itself. This means that if there is a problem with the mod itself, such as frets working improperly, we will warranty that work. We do not warranty other damage, such as cosmetic issues since we do not screen the guitar's condition before modding like we do with our standard guitars. Ensuring the guitar is in proper working condition and damage-free before shipping us the guitar for modding is solely the customer's responsibility.
Additionally, there is some extra risk because of shipping both ways. We are happy to provide a shipping label for you to send your guitar to us, or if you prefer you can also purchase your own shipping label. We do not cover any shipping damage to the guitar during transit to us. When it arrives, we document the condition of the guitar just in case any damage has occurred during transit.
